Are you looking to adopt a dog or cat in the coming weeks? You might want to call ahead or look on-line for more information on how that process will be different while our local animal shelter updates their location.

Today the Hot Springs Village Animal Shelter will be closing for renovations. These renovations will be taking place at their shelter located at 195 Cloaca Lane and are expected to be completed by Monday, November 11.This date is contingent on the renovation schedule. HSV Animal Welfare League, an independent 501(c)(3) organization, runs the animal shelter and fortunately they were able to raise the funds for this renovation project. Check out the website www.hsvawl.org for the Animal League's future fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, adoption procedures, donation information and other services that the League provides.

HSV Animal Welfare League adoptions will continue during this time. Please contact Nancy Jones for information about cats at 922-6444 and Shelley Shepherd for information about dogs at 314-520-8674.

HSV POA Animal Control will temporarily relocate and operate out of the Police Department located at 113 Calella Rd during the renovations. Contact them at 922-6547 or 922-0011 with concerns of animals at large, dead animals or any other animal concerns.
