Submitted by on

It seems as though almost everyone has been affected by cancer in some way. On December 15, you can join the fight against this terrible disease by attending LumiNight 2018! LumiNight is a special event hosted by The American Cancer Society in order to shine a light on those impacted by cancer.

The Hot Springs Village LumiNight will be taking place at the Hernando Trail by Grove Park from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Although there is no charge to attend the event, guests are encouraged to purchase a LumiNight candle bag or paper lantern, called a luminaria, as a way to honor loved ones who have battled cancer. Proceeds from the candle and lantern purchases will go toward The American Cancer Society.

You can learn more about this event and purchase your lights by going to luminightarkansas.com.

On Monday, November 12, the HSVPOA, Veteran's Memorial Foundation, and HSV Rotary Club are proud to sponsor the area's annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Woodlands Auditorium! Join the Village in honoring the 100th anniversary of the signing of the armistice which ended the first World War, a day which we know as Veterans Day! The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

The ceremony will include patriotic performances by The Village Men's Chorus and Treble in the Village. Plus, special guest speaker Congressman Bruce Westerman will be there as well. Afterward, all veterans and their families are invited to lunch provided by the HSV Rotary Club.
