Instead of letting life's stresses dominate your thoughts, why not focus on art for some escape? Hot Springs Village always has a full line-up of fantastic events for the artistically-inclined, and November is no different! This month, brush up on your photography skills, attend Galleria 2017, and peruse the great selection at the Arts & Crafts Fair, all at the Coronado Community Center!
The first event in this creative slate is the Fall Foliage Photography Workshop being held at the Coronado Community Center on November 9! The Oaklawn Center on Aging has teamed up with the Coronado Center to offer this great chance for amateur photographers to hone their skills. After meeting at the Center at 9 a.m., participants will learn about the perfect camera settings for fall foliage before heading outside to practice with professional photographer Taylor Bellott, Todd Frazior, and Corbet Deary. Participation is $30 per person. You are encouraged to bring a sack lunch, wear comfortable walking shoes, and dress accordingly for the weather. The event will last until about 2 p.m.
Next up is Galleria 2017, an amazing chance to purchase works from local artisans! The Galleria is taking place at the Center on November 12 from 1-5 p.m. and will feature refreshments, raffle prizes, and live entertainment to go along with the art. Best of all, entrance to this event is completely FREE!
Finally, mark your calendar on November 18 for the annual Fall Arts & Crafts Fair! From 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., you can check out all of the incredible jewelry, pottery, woodworking, sewing, painting and more, all handmade by local and area craftsmen and women! You won't find pieces like these anywhere else, so don't miss out!
