Everyone knows that one of the keys to a long, healthy life is to stay physically active, but for many people the goal of exercising is difficult to maintain. Instead of traditional exercise, why not learn a skill while getting a workout? There are three great opportunities coming up for residents in Hot Springs Village to have a great time on their feet!
Do you have dreams of being a martial arts master? The first step is to start attending the ongoing classes at the Coronado Fitness Center! Every Monday evening from 6-7 p.m., you can get a great cardio workout while building stamina and self defense skills in a friendly environment. Classes are $50 per month, but as an incentive to get started, your first month is 50% off! If you are interested in attending the class, contact Victor Rodriguez at 501-240-5179 or vicrod34@gmail.com. Learn more by viewing the flyer here.
Maybe looking for something a little less intense? Have a blast dancing with the Country Dancers with Scotty Mack! On Saturday, January 13 at the Coronado Community Center, have fun with the couples line dance "The Eighteen Step". Don't know how to do it? Stop by at 6:45 for a free lesson! Dancing music starts at 7:00 p.m. If you aren't counting calories in the new year, the bar open at 6:30 p.m. Best of all, members are free and guests are welcome! Call Al or Sheila King at 501-922-2008 for more information.
Finally, on Wednesdays starting January 17, the Coronado Community Center will be hosting Tennis Fit, a weekly one-hour class that helps build up the agility, strength, footwork, flexibility and other components of tennis! These classes are free to Coronado Fitness Center members and will occur at 1 p.m. every Wednesday for 6 weeks. Non members can also attend by paying the CFC daily fee.
