The end of October is drawing near, but there are still lots of great events happening around Hot Springs Village before the calendar flips! You can learn about the birth of Oklahoma, attend the first annual Village Fall Fest, and enjoy a tasty Italian dinner!
On Monday, October 23, head over to the Coronado Community Center for a FREE presentation by the Lifelong Learning Institute about the interesting circumstances that formed the state of Oklahoma! The interactive learning experience will be led by Dr. Toby Hamilton and will also feature a preview of the upcoming musical OKLAHOMA! Be sure to arrive before the 1:30 p.m. start time.
If you're looking for something a bit less informative, check out the first annual Village Fall Fest on October 28! From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., attendees can enjoy an old-fashioned family carnival, featuring games, a mechanical bull, a rock wall, hayrides, food, music, and more! Plus, a beer garden will be available for those hoping to celebrate a little more Oktoberfest. This event is being held in Grove Park (1105 DeSoto Boulevard). You can learn more here.
After the Fall Fest, you might want to save room to attend the Kiwanis Club of GHSV's annual Italian dinner, also happening October 28. From 4 to 7 p.m., stop by the Coronado Community Center for a delicious Italian meal! Each dinner includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and a drink and costs $10/adult and $7/child under 12. There will also be brownies and ice cream available for purchase on-site from youth groups. Food can be eaten at the Center or carried out.
