Welcome to December! There's always a treasure trove of information to be found in each week's Hot Springs Village Digest and this week is no different! Here are just a few of the things going on around the Village:
Board of Directors Applications
Would you like the opportunity to change our community for the better? This is your chance! Any HSVPOA member may pick up an application to serve on the Board of Directors at the CEO's office of the POA Administration building (895 DeSoto Blvd). You may also request a packet by calling 501-922-5541 or by going online. Completed applications with resume and photograph are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, January 12. There are three board positions open for 2018. Candidate information, including photographs and unedited statements, will be printed in the Spring 2018 Advocate for review by community members.
Low Lake Water Levels
Due to a combination of controlled drawdowns and little rainfall, many of the area's lakes are at a low water level. The most greatly affected lakes are Isabella and Coronado, which have both had their boat ramps closed due to the water conditions. Lake Isabella is currently undergoing a culvert repair and Lake Coronado is being dredged. Those using the lake are encouraged to be cautious!
Lake DeSoto Sunset Cruises
DeSoto Marina is now offering sunset cruises every Tuesday and Thursday evening! Each cruise begins approximately 30 minutes before sunset with a minimum of four and maximum of eight guests. Enjoy a relaxing cruise for just $10 per person. For more info or to make arrangements, call 501-922-5511.
