Tomorrow is your chance to hear the powerful words of Larry Fields, who was the commanding officer of a Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC on September 11, 2001. His firsthand account of the devastation of that day is the finale of this season of the Ouachita Speaker Series and promises to be one of the most memorable.
Mr. Fields' presentation, "When the Towers Came Down", details the events of one of the most tragic days in history. Attendees will hear the personal story of how he and a group of other officers commandeered a bus and set up an emergency center in a local college. Despite suffering injuries, the officers assisted survivors and managed responding rescue workers.
This presentation will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday (tomorrow) in Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 DeSoto Blvd. General admission tickets are $12 per person and can be purchased here.
