Farm to Table Fine Dining on Sept. 21

Everyone loves a great meal, and the pinnacle of eating the best food can only be reached when you know every step that food took on its way to your plate! With that ideal in mind, the Lifelong Learning Institute and the Coronado Community Center are pleased to host their Farm to Table Fine Dining event on September 21!

Beginning at 6 p.m., guests can enjoy an evening filled with delicious dishes prepared by local chefs from ingredients produced right here in Arkansas! The impressive menu for the evening will be smoked trout mousse on brioche with paddlefish caviar, pan-seared duck breast atop Johnny Cakes with muscadine dem glace heirloom tomato salad, petite jean smoked ham stuffed chicken roulade, braised rainbow Swiss chard, pecan rice pilaf with honey beet salad, and jus grilled peach and berry crepes with white chocolate Chantilly crème. Vegetarian and vegan meals will also be available. In addition to the amazing food, each meal will be served with a specially selected wine pairing!

Chefs cooking for the event include Chef Johnna from the DeSoto Club, Chef Paul from Froggy's, and Chef Elaine Nesmith from Itz Gud Fud. Sources for the exquisite food can all be found within our state and include Anderson Farms, JV Farms, Charlie Joe Farmstead, Ouachita Mountain Valley Farms, Chang farms, Heirloom Acres, and Petti Jean Farms.

This event will take place on the Coronado Community Center's patio on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, the evening will be shifted into the Center's Grand Room.
