The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League (HSVAWL) will be hosting the “No-Fleas” Flea Market and Bake Sale on Saturday, October 10th from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Coronado Community Center Auditorium. From 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. there will be a ½ price sale with some exceptions up to the discretion of the AWL. This event will be benefiting the HSV Animal Welfare League which because of the Covid-19 has seen their revenue dwindle. They are asking you to support the cause by donating items that you are looking to get rid of. They also invite the public to attend the event so that you can perhaps find a treasure or two for yourself to purchase to support their cause. Because of the pandemic there will be limits on how many people are allowed to be in the Center Auditorium as well as social distancing requirements and mask wearing.
To donate items you are asked to price them before dropping them off to the Coronado Center on Friday, October 9th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.. They are looking for donations of household items, collectables, pet supplies, jewellry, tools, framed art, kitchen and bath lines, seasonal decorations and the like. PLEASE NO CLOTHING OR LARGE FURNITURE.
For additional questions about the event or if you would like to volunteer to help setup and staff the event you can contact the AWL at 501-915-9337 or through their website at www.hsvawl/contact.
Here is some information from their website about who the HSVAWL is and what they do for the HotSprings Village Community.
The Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League (HSVAWL) is in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that works cooperatively with the Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association (POA) Animal Control to rescue, vet, and find homes for ALL adoptable cats and dogs that come through POA intake.
AWL has no paid employees and is appreciative of the hard work by the POA animal control officers, who provide valuable service to all animals. AWL pays for food, veterinary expenses and litter for all animals in the shelter building, including strays and lost pets reclaimed by owners, as well as those for adoption.
We depend solely upon donations, memberships, and grants to sustainour programs. We are not subsidized by the POA nor government entities. All donations are tax deductible, and 100% of your donation directly supports the animals. The AWL expresses gratitude to the volunteers who make these benefits happen and to those guests who support their efforts to save the animals.
